Each board is composed of a configuration of 144 tiles.
There are 4 copies of each tile (except for Mythical Animal and Plants and Golden
Tiles).
To form a pair:
• Select a free tile by clicking on it
• Click on an identical tile which is also free
If both selected tiles form a pair, they disappear. When all tiles have disappeared, the board is completed.
A tile is considered free when it is not covered by another tile and there is no other tile to its immediate left or right. A free tile is completely visible and can slide horizontally to at least one side. Only free tiles may be used to form a pair.
A completely visible tile which can only slide vertically is NOT free.
On each board, there are 8 tiles which represent 4 mythical animals and 4 plants. There is only one copy of each of these tiles. However, any mythical animal may be paired with any other mythical animal and any plant with any other plant.
Golden tiles hide a shield fragment. To reveal this fragment, form a pair comprised of a golden tile engraved with a shield and a normal tile engraved with the same shield.
The game is over when you have completed both boards. The way you play has no impact on your odds of winning.
At the bottom of the screen, 8 shields may be transformed into precious metal during the game. Some shields are divided into 2 fragments; others into 3, 4 or 5.
The shields are grouped into 4 Houses:
If you quit the game before completing a board, you lose the fragments already revealed on it. To get the fragments back, simply replay the game. The fragments revealed while completing a board are not carried over to the next board.
When you click on this button, a random free pair is highlighted. Clicking again highlights another free pair, and so on.
Note that Hint serves only to locate free pairs. It does not provide tips on strategy. The order in which you should form pairs remains up to you.
This button allows you to return the last pair formed back into the configuration. If the pair had revealed a magic fragment, the fragment is removed from the shield and must be revealed again. You may use this function as many times as you wish.
This counter displays the number of free pairs available on the board. This number is updated every time a pair is formed.
Casteldor 2, as entertaining as ever!
To play a round, make tiles on the board disappear by forming pairs. One game consists of 2 boards, and it is possible to win a prize on either of them.
While completing a board, you will reveal shield fragments, which will automatically fill in part of one of the shields displayed at the bottom of the screen. A complete shield enables you to win the corresponding prize, once a Loto-Québec retailer can ascertain, by means of the verification number, that your ticket does in fact entitle you to the prize being claimed.
